I”m so grateful for these photos. I almost canceled this photoshoot twice. I wasn’t a happy pregnant lady in either of my pregnancies. Before I”m judged, I was looking forward to the bundle of love at the end, but whatever hormones I was administered were different than the kool-aid the other women in my “how to give birth” class were drinking.
My wonderful friend, Adam Pass had told me he would be visiting LA, and we planned this shoot months in advance. The best advice I can give any pregnant woman is just stop planning. Stop. Life will never be the same. I say that in jest, but not really. Actually, I suppose the proper answer is stop having expectations about the plans and life will be just fine.
I knew I would regret canceling the shoot, so tired swollen feelings and all, I went to meet Adam, had a lovely hair and makeup artist give me a little boost complete with some extra hair to clip in and in about an hour we made these gorgeous photos. I will be forever grateful. He used some lighting that hid some lumps and bumps that are sort of inevitable when you’re pregnant, unless you’re one of those little women who don’t gain weight ALL over your body. I was not.
I highly recommend Adam if you’re looking for beautiful maternity photos, as you will remember this moment as the last one you slept for years. Kidding…sort of. You will remember it as a precious time that was just yours to enjoy until life expanded into one of completely more epic ball of love that would forever change the glasses in which you see the world.
